The Minnesota Vikings are looking to respond following a last second loss to the Lions in Week 7. Now, they must come off a short week to face the Rams in Los Angeles on TNF. The Vikings are clearly the better team, but they're getting 90% of the bets in prime time on DraftKings, so we would prefer to focus on the props.
The Cold, Hard Football Facts have successfully predicted the outcome of NFL games and seasons for over 20 years. Our proprietary stats give us betting advantages when it comes to props, and we're targeting two on TNF.
The first prop we're taking is Justin Jefferson Over 84.5 Receiving Yards. Jefferson has surpassed this line in two of his past three games. He did fall short of his receiving yards prop on Sunday against the Lions, but still had seven catches for 81 yards with one touchdown.
Jefferson has a favorable matchup tonight against the Rams, who have been terrible in the secondary. All the Vikings receivers have solid matchups against Los Angeles secondary, who rank 23rd in Defensive Passer Rating and 27th in Defensive Real Passing Yards/Attempt.
The second prop we're taking is Matthew Stafford Over 33.5 Passing Attempts. Puka Nacua is on track to play tonight and Cooper Kupp is healthy. Stafford has weapons to work with, and we don't believe Los Angeles will have much success running the ball with Kyren Williams.
Williams is a tremendous running back, but Minnesota is fifth in Defensive Rusher Rating. The Vikings are also elite defending the pass, but we anticipate the Rams playing from behind, and this would lead to more throws for Stafford on TNF.
