Mental Mismatches | NFL Week 12

Matthew Malec

It’s another odd week for the Index, with many of the league’s bottom feeders squaring off, and a few of the Indexes top teams going at it as well. Nevertheless, we have a few picks on offer.

Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Football Team (-1)

A 3-7 team ranked third on the Intelligence Index? The Seahawks are a statistical anomaly. They should right the ship soon, and a game where they hold a 21 spot Index advantage feels like the perfect spot to start. They have too much talent to keep losing. Buy low on Russell Wilson and company.

THE PICK: Seahawks -105

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants (+3.5)

The Eagles are surging right now, and they’re into the top ten of the Index. The Giants are reeling. Jason Garrett has been fired, which may well be for the best, but is still sure to pose challenges given that they are on a short week. In the long term, maybe the Giants offense can right the ship, but it won’t be this week. Back the Eagles and their 13 spot Index edge

THE PICK: Eagles -185

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos (+3)

The Broncos hold an eight spot Index advantage and hold the cards in many key Quality Stats. Throw in the fact that they’re at home, and coming off of a bye, and they should be well suited to slow the Chargers scorching offense down. Vic Fangio is known for confusing young quarterbacks, and he should be able to slow Justin Herbert enough to keep his team in it.

THE PICK: Broncos +130
